artist statement
I strive to write with pictures and draw with words.
Inspirations
Here are some creatives I look up to.
I have been following the anonymous artist, Plastiboo for a few years now.
Plastiboo
Their art is the perfect blend of cute and creepy. The unique textures and colors they use create a look that makes me nostalgic for a time that doesn’t exist.
Benji Nate
I have read Benji Nate’s Girl Juice about five times. The way she writes and draws the misadventures of four roommates makes me feel like I am there with them.
She also publishes relatable personal comics about her life and sobierty.
Alan Moore
I’ve only recently started reading Alan Moore’s work but he as already had a huge impact on me creatively.
I am more inspired by his writing style and work ethic. His writing is often a commentary on society or with Watchmen, it serves as a commentary of the genre.
Moore is famous for giving the artists that he works with on comics lots of notes. Famously he wrote three pages of script for the first page of Watchmen.
